Coding is a skill people from every function can pick up, for any kind of data. This five-day intensive is the Lagos Business School rewrite of a classic open workshop on communicating with R: anonymised, rebuilt for executives, and taught with AI in the room wherever it earns its keep. You will leave able to turn a messy extract into a chart you would sign — in FMCG, banking, supply chain, operations, economics, strategy, marketing or HR.
Aims
- Take the fear out of code for senior managers who still live in Excel.
- Teach tidy data and the grammar of graphics with extracts that look like a real P&L.
- Put AI in its place: a copilot that drafts dplyr, never a source of unpublished numbers.
- Ship a reproducible briefing — Quarto, a pulse dashboard, a small website — not a zip of PDFs.
- Separate a headline from a lever. Correlation is not a strategy.

Format
Brief faculty input, then the room works. Each day uses topical extracts — a grocer’s SKU dump, a retail bank’s NPS file, a supplier OTIF ledger, a mentions firehose. AI (the bongo.ai copilot on every page) drafts code on request. You still have to sign the chart.
No prior coding. Designed for functional leaders and the analysts who sit next to them. All materials stay open on this site after you leave.
